Transportation In Asia

Depending on the country you’re in Asia depends on the transportation I would use. In some countries I used the public transportation a lot like Bangkok, Singapore, Vietnam and Taiwan. I used Grab sometimes at these locations when I was going far, in a hurry, if the public transportation was complicated. The bus schedule in Asia especially in Bangkok was a mess and very frustrating at times. Majority of the time the bus would not come the time it was listed to arrive and sometimes it wouldn’t come at all.

In Asia they don’t have Uber instead they have Grab which is used the same way which you can order food and groceries like Ubereats. I used Grab to get around the entire time in the Philippines, Malaysia, Phuket and Cambodia. I used it in these countries mostly because it was cheap and quicker to get to my destinations.

When country hoping in Asia the worst part was the foreign airlines! I had to learn the hard way from this and lost money from this as well. So I would suggest that you check the best prices on SkyScanner or Fly.com.

Then go directly to the site and pay a little more to get it directly from the site. I would highly suggest getting insurance on your plane tickets and make sure you read all their policies. Foreign airlines especially the small ones are very different from American based airlines.

If you want to really save on money you can take buses and charter boats to get to the touching countries. Which would take longer but if you’re not in a rush and want to do the scenic route then that is always an option.
