Things To Do In Phuket, Thailand

During my Asia journey I would have to say Phuket was probably my favorite from the scenery, the price and it’s just so much to do and explore.

I definitely would go back but I probably would stay more so on the beach and resort side away from the city. I would recommend doing a tour to go island hopping which is a full day trip but it’s well worth it. I booked a tour through a local tour guide from Viator which I tend to use often when it comes to excursions while out of town:

I just rather use those type of things in case the trip gets canceled and I need my money back or anything of that sort. Also I like when doing the tours you meet so many different people from all over the world, which is cool especially if you’re interested in learning about other cultures outside of your own.

If you want to experience the nightlife I would suggest Bangala Road which it’s a long street with clubs, strip clubs, bars, smoke shops and more. It’s plenty of people and loud music.

The top three cafes that I liked which had nice food and cute drinks but most people really come for the photo and video opportunities.

Ma Doo Bua cafe is a very popular cafe which you can pay $30 usd for two droid Videos and Droid pics on a boat. You can’t book ahead of time and it’s first come and first serve but they move pretty fast. The workers will take some pictures and videos of you with your phone as well. And it’s just great picture moments at the cafe that you can take of yourself.

The second popular one is Cafe Phuket Viewpoint which you just have to purchase a drink or food item to go downstairs which it’s has so many video and picture opportunities they also have a big swing that you also can get on that the workers will hook you up and push you on. With the height of the swing I was a little scared, but it was still fun.

Now this third place is at Rock Beach which I didn’t get to go because of time and the distance it was from me. I definitely plan on going next time but they had admission tickets to attend which you could get on Klook. They have great reviews and great photo opportunities from what I saw from pictures on the internet and social media.

We can’t forget the tigers which you can book tiger kingdom through a local tour guide or you can just take a Grab to take you to Tiger Kingdom Phuket. I would say it’s reasonable priced and the workers will take pictures and videos with you and the tigers. Now I was a lil scared when the tiger starting roaring, because at the end of the day he is a tiger. They have a sign saying the tigers aren’t sedated, but I feel like the tigers had to be something because one was sleep and they are really calm. They said most of the tigers have been raised around humans their whole lives.

It’s a few elephant places in Phuket but I went to Phuket Elephant on the beach which I got to bath the elephants, ride the elephants, I got to get in the water with them and take pictures and video with them as well which was pretty cool. It also came with a free drink.

I also found out about Monkey On The Hill which is totally free. You basically have your grab drop you off at the top of the hill or the bottom of the hill. I would suggest the top because it’s a long and hot walk up. There will be monkeys going all the way up the street which you can buy bananas on the street to feed the monkeys. The bananas are cheaper at the top of the hill and it’s a small cafe you can go to get some snacks and something to drink. Now the monkeys are very aggressive to the people and to each other. So be careful with your belongings because they will snatch it and run.

The last thing I would suggest doing while in Phucket is getting your nails and feet done! It is so cheap! I literally got a gel manicure for $10 usd and they did a great job!

Overall Phuket is full of things to do and adventure. I would definitely add this location on your list of places to go!
