Two Types of Travelers: Relaxing by the Pool vs. Adventurous Explorers

Traveling: it's the one activity that can bring out the best in you, regardless of whether you're a lounging-by-the-pool type or an adventure-loving explorer like me. In this blog, we're going to dive into the fascinating world of two very different types of travelers – those who love to relax and do nothing more than lounge, and those like me who can't resist making a detailed itinerary to explore every nook and cranny of a city or country.

The Laid-Back Lounger:

Picture this: you're on a trip, and all you want to do is relax by the beach or pool, sipping on a cocktail, and soaking in the sun. You're in your element when you don't have to leave the resort. You're the kind of traveler who lives for the simple pleasure of doing absolutely nothing while on vacation. Hey, there's no shame in that! You're there to recharge, and your motto is "Why leave the paradise of the resort?"

The Adventure Enthusiast (That's Me!):

On the flip side, there's me – the adventure enthusiast. I feel like I'm wasting a trip if I'm not constantly on the go, exploring and experiencing all the sights, sounds, and flavors a new place has to offer. It's hard for me to just lounge around, and it can be a challenge to switch off my busy-bee mode, but I'm learning to find a balance. To me, a vacation is an opportunity to make the most of my time and to truly get to know the city or country I'm in.

The Art of Crafting the Perfect Itinerary:

So, how do I go about planning my adventurous trips? It's all in the itinerary! I'm all about detail, which means thorough research on TikTok, Instagram, and Google. I scour these platforms for videos and pictures of activities, places, and experiences that other travelers or influencers have shared. Whether it's finding hidden gems or crafting unique content, this is where the magic happens.

The Magic of TikTok:

TikTok is my favorite tool because it offers a visual and interactive way to explore destinations. I get to see real people experiencing these activities, often with voice-overs that provide extra insights. It's like getting a sneak peek into what I'll be doing. It's not just about pretty pictures; it's about the whole experience!

Instagram: Picture-Perfect Travel:

Instagram is another treasure trove for finding beautiful spots and Instagrammable places to capture fantastic photos. The Carousel feature often gives you a 360-degree view of the location, which can be incredibly helpful for planning your content.

Google: The Old-School Route:

For those who prefer a more traditional approach, Google offers articles, blogs, and information on various activities and places to visit. It's reliable and full of valuable insights, but it doesn't quite scratch that visual itch for me.

Sharing the Itinerary:

Once I've put together my detailed itinerary, I share it with my travel companions. I even provide links to restaurants, places, or Instagram videos as references. It helps everyone prepare for what's ahead, and they can see any changes I make in real-time. Sharing is caring, right?

Turning Passion into a Business:

Many have suggested that I monetize my knack for creating itineraries and consider becoming a travel agent, but for me, it's a personal passion, not a business venture. The joy of creating an itinerary is in the process, and it's something I love doing for myself and my fellow travelers.

Whether you're a relaxed lounger or an adventure enthusiast, the key to a fantastic and memorable trip is doing what makes you happiest. For me, it's the thrill of crafting the perfect itinerary and exploring a new place from sunrise to sunset. But in the end, it doesn't matter which type of traveler you are – what matters is that you enjoy your journey, create lasting memories, and find your own way to relax and recharge, whether by the pool or on a thrilling adventure.
